I extensively use Deep Research in may AI platforms, and I have to constantly manually copy and paste the results/reports from these platforms into Recall. It would be a great feature to be able to directly send them to Recall via the extension.

Please add the ability to capture not just webpages but also just images and search them using AI (e.g., by color, objects, ...). A staggered grid view would be a nice bonus! This would greatly expand Recall's usefulness.

On my PC, I accidentally had Whatsapp in Web open when I clicked Recall Browser Extension, having the AI summarize very private conversations to me. I don't want Recall to have any access to this content. Also, an attacker who has physical access to my device transiently, can use this to extract private information very quickly. Solutions: WHITELISTING: have a whitelist of URLs where recall works, such as youtube, spotify etc. users can submit and rank their own whitelists, so that as a new user, you can choose the most popular one when opening a non-whitelisted URL, there is an option to override the Whitelist once or permanently for this URL. Confirmation can be configured to just be a button, or "heavy" confirmation, e.g. via confirmation code to SMS or EMail, to avoid accidental clicking. BLACKLISTING: same as above but with blacklist. As a sidenote, I dislike that getrecall has access rights to all my Browsing, as per the Browser extension privileges. I understand that whitelisting/blacklisting can't affect the browser extension privilege settings, because this is not how extensions work. However, I would prefer if there was a clear statement that: getrecall can only access pages where I click the extension has no access to my browsing history Both are not needed for delivering the service.

I would like to add content in a fast way to Recall from my company’s PC, but browser extensions are blocked there. Could you create a bookmarklet to add to the favorites bar manually e.g. Microsoft Edge and then be able to one-click add a sit/video/… to Recall via the JavaScript (?) bookmarklet? Similar to how read it later apps have done it for many years. Many thanks in advance!

Adding images to the text content will aid in the understanding of summaries It would be very useful to have a way to import images from the web content or take screenshot and import it directly to the notebook

I would like to see a browser extension similar to Readwise that enables direct highlighting functionality within the browser. Additionally, it would be valuable if the highlighted content could serve as a foundation for: Generating quizzes based on the highlighted material Providing deeper contextual analysis and insights around the selected content This would create a more interactive and comprehensive learning experience directly within the browsing environment.

Can you add the possibility to use wildcards ( ) or regex in the disable sites setting. For example: I'd like to disable the widget on all local dev sites so I'd like to add .test but it does not allow that atm.

It would be incredibly helpful to have a right-click context menu option while browsing webpages that allows users to generate a summary of only the selected text. The summary could be added directly to the corresponding Recall Notebook page, either as a concise or detailed summary, based on the user’s preferences. This feature would serve as a valuable workaround for content types that Recall doesn’t fully support yet—such as YouTube comment section, Udemy transcripts, or embedded dynamic content. It would also reduce the need to manually copy, paste, and request summaries or translations, streamlining the workflow significantly. Additionally, this function could prove especially useful for handling multilingual webpages, where users may only need to summarize or translate specific sections. Once implemented, I believe this could open up many exciting possibilities for future expansion and enhanced usability. Thank you for considering this!
