This means the system automatically merges tags when two or more tags are given identical names. Mechanism:

1. A user renames Tag B to match the existing name of Tag A.

2. The system detects the name collision,

3. A merge action is triggered, and asks if to perform a merge

4. If the user confirmed, combine Tag B into Tag A.

4. All items previously associated with Tag B now combine into Tag A.

5. Tag B (not used) is removed (or archived)
