Shared Workspaces for Recall
Sankari Nair
Enable users to organize their Recall experience into separate work and personal spaces, with the ability to create collaborative shared workspaces for teams and groups.
The Problem
Currently, all Recall cards exist in one space, making it difficult to:
- Keep work and personal information separate
- Share relevant cards with teammates or collaborators
- Collaborate on shared knowledge without cluttering individual spaces
Proposed Solution
Phase 1: Personal Workspace Separation
- Work Space: Professional cards, meeting notes, project information
- Personal Space: Personal interests, recipes, travel plans, etc.
- Easy switching between spaces with visual indicators
Phase 2: Collaborative Shared Workspaces
- Shared card collections: Create workspaces that multiple people can access
- Real-time collaboration: Team members can view, edit, and add cards together
- Flexible permissions: Control who can view, edit, or manage each workspace
We'd love your input on:
- How would you want to switch between workspaces?
- What permissions would be most important to you?
- How do you envision discovering and joining shared workspaces?
- What other collaboration features would enhance this?

Where is the collaboration space?

I'm a new user, so I may be missing this functionality, but where is a space for collaboration. And how can we share resources and have discussion around content?
Sankari Nair
Hey there, we do not have this feature as yet. I will merge it into the bigger feature request we have for this. This will come later in the year.

We would be using this as a shared knowledge base for our employees to ask questions regarding firms we deal with. It would be great if a single knowledge base could be shared, but permissions set so that a set of users are only able to inquire (chat) with the knowledge base, but not change or add to it in any way.
A single admin would be able to create the groups with permissions and assign new users, etc. Of course, as new items are added, existing users would have access to that information upon a refresh.

I would like to create separate spaces or domains (i.e. Personal, Work, College) where I can keep my knowledge separated.

I would really appreciate if my team can have access to the knowledge base created by Recall.

Hey Ranjeeth - please pop us an email at [email protected] for more info on business plans. That said - we do need to develop a full team workspace.

I have a team that wants to use the same date sets I am using how do I go about that?

Hello! The best work around is just to share the Recall cards. But we do need a bigger feature for this to work end to end.

Yes, I completely understand why there should be only one database, which can be separated with tags and AI inquiries, et cetera. But let's face it, there are times where you want to put all of one thing in one container and all of another thing in another container. In my case, I want to put everything about medicine and longevity, of which there is a great, great deal, into one database and then everything else I read into another.

Use recall separately for business and private purposes with 2 storable email addresses

As a recall user, I would like to have business and private topics separated from each other. Admins are otherwise able to view the application when I open it in the browser, and I don't want that for the private part of my recall usage.
