It's a super cool idea. Bidirectional would be optimal:)

Wish: Connect Recall with Obsidian
Recall and Obsidian are philosophically aligned: both aim to connect atomic pieces of information using keywords and graph logic. But they live in separate worlds.
Proposal: Bridge the Gap Between Recall and Obsidian
#### 1. Export from Recall → Obsidian (Improved)
Recall already allows Markdown export – but:
Two-way links (@card:) aren't converted to Obsidian wikilinks ([[ ]])
Tags are not Obsidian-compliant (tags: [a, b] instead of #a #b)
YAML frontmatter could be better aligned with Obsidian structure
Embedded media and LaTeX often break or render poorly
👉 A “Smart Export to Obsidian Vault” feature (with optional conversion plugin) would make this seamless. It could even generate an import-ready folder with cleaned-up .md files.
✅ New idea: The export should support filters – by tag or creation date – to allow incremental syncing (e.g., “export only new notes from last 7 days” or “only those tagged with #import-to-obsidian”).
#### 2. Import from Obsidian → Recall
Obsidian content is often very rich, especially for personal insights. It would be powerful if users could:
Import their Obsidian Markdown notes into Recall
Tag and index them with Recall’s AI engine
Use them in the same graph and search environment as YouTube summaries, web articles, PDFs, etc.
✅ Likewise, an import feature should support filtering (e.g., import only selected folders or notes with specific tags).
---
💡 Ultimate Goal: Dynamic Linking Between Both Tools
The dream setup would allow Obsidian to query or reference Recall content dynamically – maybe via a local cache, synced index, or even an API connection.
But even just better one-way syncs (import/export) with filters would already be a huge win for hybrid knowledge workflows.

- sync specific folder
- sync / summarize one long note inside obsidian
- one way/ two way sync

Not just summaries: the original web article (audio/video embeds along with a summary or transcript would also be a nice to save; I think the Readwise Reader does this) as well.

A two-way way sync would be great, allowing to feed Recall with Obsidian files (based on folder level) and save Recalls on an Obsidian folder.

Now we can export cards in markdown, and then import them in obsidian, but the process is slow, and manual. It would be great to have an Obsidian plugin that straightly sync Obsidian with Recall, automatically and every day (or every time we click on the plugin).
