Hello there, why do you suggest having it in the left panel? We thought having it at the top keeps it as a primary button, and as you scroll through your knowledge base, it's very prominent.

Sankari Nair Hi Sankari, thank you for the reply. By mapping the number of steps and time taken between each touch point on https://app.getrecall.ai/ (Recall Knowledge Management App), you can see that when user switched from Recall website, Chat/Graph/Review tabs (left sidebar) to other productivity apps, e.g. Adobe Reader for PDF, or YouTube app/browser tab, and want to copy the e.g. YouTube link back to Recall website, user have to engage in several steps, e.g. think, use eyeballs to find the "Home" button on the left sidebar, think, move eyeballs all the way to the right, think, and search to locate the blue "add link button", think, differentiate between the two integrated or side by side (same confusing blue colour "Add" and "pen symbol - create new note" buttons, think and find which is the correct sub-button (same colour) to click or tap to open the "add link" page, to add link to generate the transcript and detailed summary. If you hire a professional IT consulting company, or ex-Apple/Samsung engineer to look at your UX, you find that the aforementioned holds a sliver of truth. Thus, it makes sense that the most frequently used feature or button should be at level zero of the website (top first entry of the left side bar above the Home button), I leave it to your consultant/engineer to decide where to place the "create new note" button (albeit in a different colour and/or shape). It's important to get your foundations right, before adding more features.
All the best.
