Make Assigning Nested Tags Easier

Currently when you assign a tag, you get the tag that already available. Good.
But now I want to create a another nested folder, I have to retype the entire folder structure, because you can't re-use the available tag and add another tag.
For example:
Tag: Technology/AI/
Now add:
Technology/AI/OpenAI I can't reuse the first two tags.

Yes! Is this still an issue? Schroell has described the exact solution I'm looking for. It's a pain to have to keep typing out the full path name over and over again when adding nested tags.

I stumbled over this one as well already. What could also be cool is kind of auto-complete when you type nested tags. So if start typing "Te" for "Technology" or whatever you could push the spacebar and it will auto-complete with a slash and then you have the option of whatever comes as next nested words and that way you don't need to type that much and you would have the choice of reusing already existing proposed tags that you have and easily be able to create new ones as well.
