This is expanding on the requests to add folders or provide more detailed control over tagging, but I believe is more in line with the BASB paradigm. I might even suggest providing the complete PARA hierarchy as part of the left hand panel. This would allow content to be indexed within unique Projects, Areas, Resources and Archive folders. This would really improve the overall search/filter UX...IMHO.
