Last week, we continued making progress on two major features: improved search and chat with your full knowledge base. These are large updates that will take approximately 3–4 weeks to roll out fully. We’ve also begun development on a markdown file import feature, which will make it easier to migrate notes from tools like Notion and Obsidian.
What’s New
  • YouTube Shorts Support:
You can now save and summarize YouTube Shorts directly in Recall!
  • Search Filters:
You can now filter your search results by tags and date, making it easier to find exactly what you’re looking for.
  • Language Fixes (YouTube):
We’ve addressed several language-related bugs (pending full rollout on the Chrome extension): Fixed an issue where chapter titles appeared in the wrong language. Corrected cases where the summary was generated using the incorrect transcript language.
Coming Soon
  • Next iteration of Search:
Full-text and semantic search in the Reader and Chats.
  • Markdown Import:
Continue improving bulk import to simplify migration from other tools.
